Hello from Detroit! I am passive jay, a novice bass player 100% taught by Rocksmith. Recently I decided to branch out and try guitar. We do not have a five-and-dime so headed to my local Guitar Center and picked up a Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster!

Not sure if it matches my Bass and I was so excited that I did not even bother to take off the sticker but here it is!

thanks everyone! I do not know if it is because I have a few years of bass under my belt now or if this guitar just suits me better but it is already going better than it did the last time I tried to learn guitar.

You really picked the best guitar as your first 6, especially since you know bass.

Dirt cheap and great quality. A sensible choice.

Because as the years go by, you're going to be buying others anyway, but you never forget your first.

It was meant to be I think. I figured out my price range and showed the various guitars I could afford to my wife, she picked this one. Went to a large forum I hang out on and asked the guitar players which one I should get, this was the one most picked. Went to guitar center and got the only one in stock they had.

    Welcome,

If you get that baby set up real nice, you won’t need another guitar for a long time.
That shouldn’t stop you from buying as many as you can afford though,:D

Believe it or not when I picked it up I asked about them setting it up, the tech checked it over, made a couple minor adjusments and told me it really already good to go and that I did not need a setup.
