      Tx. For me it’s my one hb guitar that has an open, bright roar. It’s beaten some other stuff - a tremonti PRS singlecut se, a lag mg200 superstrat, a Gibson sgj with zebra hbs and a jazzmaster with super distortions.
      No technical issues and still fiddling to make best use out of that out of phase sound.

      Hi Larry, saw you post that you own an AES 800 - so do I, I quite like it. Any insights you’ve discovered with yours?

        It's sort of hooked up like a varitone to give a midrange notch, leading to almost acoustic like timbres. One coil is shunted to ground through a cap and the pot.

        I wish mine had the Bigsby but at the time I wasn't into surf stuff. They seem to appear regularly on Reverb but I don't feel like buying another one. Just keep it for what it's good for. It's my main living room twanger and rarely gets plugged in these days.
